Product Overview

The ultimate in travel convenience: Travel light and charge most Li-Ion cylindrical cells. The MC1 is compatible with any cell over 1000mAh. Charging smaller cells can damage them. The Foursevens RCR123 is an exception and can be charged with the MC1.

Product Details

Tried and true Many years ago we started with the MC1 charger because it was light, compact, and got the job done. This is the latest generation MC1 upgraded with USB-C and a faster charge rate. Unfortunately we were forced to discontinue the Foursevens Flex Charger because of supply chain issues, so we are going back to the best alternative we know of.

The MC1 is compatible with every Li-Ion cell used in Prometheus and Foursevens lights. It is NOT compatible with NiMh batteries.

WARNING: Do not use non-rechargeable batteries with the charger. Attempting to recharge non-rechargeable batteries can cause dangerous heat buildup and damage the battery, which may result in personal injury or damage to nearby devices.

Never charge batteries when the cell is cold! You can discharge cold batteries, but charging a cold battery can create an internal short circuit causing catastrophic damage and a possible fire. This effect is immediate, dramatic, and irreversible. Batteries should only be charged when they are at room temperature or above.

Wide battery compatibility
The Xtar MC1 is compatible with most cylindrical rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries. Rechargeable Lithium-Ion (3.7V): 10440, 14500, 16340 (RCR123A), 16650, 17670, 18650, 21700, 26650
Zero Volt Activation
The MC1 is usually capable of resetting a battery protection circuit tripped by over-discharging the batter.

Charge status indicator

  • Solid Red: charging is underway
  • Solid Green: charging is complete

Best practice is to recharge early and often. You should not use the protection circuit as a low battery indicator. Over discharging the battery damages it and shortens battery life and lowers battery capacity.

WARNING: Do not use non-rechargeable batteries with the charger. Attempting to recharge non-rechargeable batteries can cause dangerous heat buildup and damage the battery, which may result in personal injury or damage to nearby devices.
